Marco Plohmann

Marco Plohmann serves as Teamlead at sonnen GmbH, a Royal Dutch Shell Company, since April 2023, focusing on the development of global procurement functions and digitalization across various categories. Prior to this role, Marco worked as a Consultant for marand united Pty Ltd., advising on market expansion in Southern Africa for a leading German aviation company. From July 2008 to May 2022, Marco managed strategic procurement for Microsoft throughout sub-Saharan Africa and handled end-to-end procurement for the German subsidiary. Earlier experience includes managing marketing procurement for Coca-Cola European Partners during significant campaigns, including the 2006 Soccer World Cup. Marco holds a Master's degree in Business/Managerial Economics and a Bachelor's in Marketing from the University of Cape Town, alongside additional education from CCI Academy.
