Shawn Schultz has a diverse range of work experience in software development and leadership roles. Shawn is currently working as the Sr. Director of SaaS Engineering at Sorenson Communications. Prior to this, they worked as a Mentor - Contractor for Thinkful. From 2020 to 2022, they served as the VP of Product & Engineering at SABX :: Digital Xchange. Before that, they were the Director of Engineering at Cox Automotive Inc. From 2016 to 2018, they held the positions of VP of Software Development and Interim VP of Software Development at Plexus Worldwide. Shawn also has experience as the President and Co-Founder of ShakMatch, where they developed a Software as a Service product for Real Estate Agents. Shawn worked as a Principal at Veracity Solutions from 2014 to 2017, where they managed client projects and provided leadership in software architecture. Shawn was also the Co-Founder and Lead Software Developer at Old Boy Games, where they built innovative indie games. Shawn began their career at Melaleuca, where they held roles such as Sr. Software Development Manager and Senior Web Engineer. Additionally, they co-founded and developed NeverwinterConnections.com, a successful gaming website.

Shawn Schultz obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Mayville State University from 1989 to 1994. Prior to that, they studied Aeronautics/Aviation/Aerospace Science and Technology, as well as Computer Information Systems at the University of North Dakota from 1988 to 1989. In addition to their formal education, Shawn has also obtained certifications such as Certified SAFe Agilist, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), ITIL Foundations, and Lean Kanban Foundation.
