Matteo Ceroti

Matteo Ceroti is the Head of Business Development at Sorgenia, a position held since January 2011, where responsibilities include overseeing the growth of the Renewable Energy Sources (RES) pipeline in Italy across various technologies such as geothermal, hydroelectric, biomethane, solar PV, and wind. Matteo plays a key role in defining company strategy, managing project authorizations, and leading a team of in-house staff and consultants. Previous positions at Sorgenia included Geothermal Development Manager, where Matteo managed geothermal project development and technical tenders, and Business Development Specialist, supporting project pipeline management. Prior experience includes a business development trainee role at Sorgenia and energy systems trainee at Edipower. Matteo holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from Università degli Studi di Milano and a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in energy and environment from Università degli Studi di Firenze. Additionally, educational enrichment occurred at the Technical University of Denmark.
