Tara Javidi

Tara Javidi is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of KavAI. She is pioneering Active Physical Intelligence™, a novel AI framework designed to transform how artificial intelligence perceives and interprets complex industrial environments. By combining multi-sensory data acquisition, real-time decision-making, and adaptive inference, our technology enables AI to predict and prevent catastrophic industrial failures—improving safety, reducing environmental risks, and optimizing operations.

In addition, she is a professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, San Diego, specializing in active learning, information theory, stochastic control, and AI-driven decision-making. My research has shaped advancements in networked systems, autonomous decision-making, and intelligent data acquisition, with applications spanning AI, industrial safety, and communications.
