Masumi Shinohara

Masumi Shinohara currently holds the position of EVP, Managing Director Asia and is a member of the Executive Committee at Sotheby's since April 2024, also serving as the Representative Director and Head of Japan. Prior to this role, Masumi was CEO and Representative Director for Japan and Korea at Valentino from May 2021 to April 2024, and President & Representative Director at Ermenegildo Zegna Group from October 2019 to April 2021. Masumi led AOF Therapeutics Co., Ltd. (now Cell Exosome Therapeutics Inc.) as CEO and Representative Director from September 2015 to September 2019. Earlier experiences include serving as President & CEO at Berluti Japan K.K. and various positions at L'Oréal and Mitsubishi Corporation. Masumi holds an MBA from IMD and a Bachelor's degree in Laws from Keio University, alongside an exchange program at Sciences Po in Political Science.
