Courtney Knickerbocker is a seasoned professional in environmental resource management with extensive experience in wetland and surface water delineations, property due diligence, and environmental permitting. The agency's core mission is to manage and protect water resources in 16 counties from Orlando to the Florida Keys by balancing and improving flood control, water quality, natural systems and water supply. It is the oldest and largest of the state's five water management districts. The SFWMD manages and protects water resources on behalf of 8.1 million South Floridians, and is the lead agency in restoring America's Everglades – the largest environmental project in the nation's history.
