Shobini Singh

Shobini Singh has a strong background in business improvement and planning, with experience in various companies. Shobini worked at South32 as a Principal Business Improvement and Planning Superintendent, where they managed a pipeline of operational improvement initiatives that influenced the business to remain a going concern. Prior to that, they were a Planning Superintendent and Improvement Specialist at BHP Billiton, and a Capital Optimisation Analyst at AngloGold Ashanti. Shobini also worked as a Technical Development Specialist at BHP Billiton, where they evaluated ideas and concepts, and provided leadership in problem-solving efforts.

Shobini Singh's education history includes obtaining a Six Sigma Greenbelt certification from BHP Billiton/Six Sigma Qualtech in 2008. Shobini also pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc) in Management of Technology and Innovation from The Da Vinci Institute in 2006, and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Chemistry from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2002. Shobini further completed an Executive Microcertificate in Economic Leadership from The University of British Columbia in 2023. Shobini also attended Leiden University in 2021 to study "A Circular Economy of Metals: Towards a Sustainable Societal Metabolism" but did not earn a degree. Additionally, in 2022, they obtained a certification as a Change Management Practitioner from Prosci, and they are a Certified Practitioner from Prosci.
