Doug McCarty

Doug McCarty possesses extensive experience in the engineering field with a focus on process management and design. Currently serving as the Process and Design Engineering Manager at Southern Company since October 2012, McCarty has held various influential roles, including Process Engineering Supervisor and Principal Engineer. Prior to this, McCarty worked as the Power, Recovery and Raw Materials Manager at Weyerhaeuser and served as General Manager at Pratt Industries. Early career experience includes multiple positions at Weyerhaeuser, such as Site Manager and Sr. Process Engineer. McCarty holds a Master of Engineering degree in Advanced Safety and Engineering Management from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of South Alabama.
