Patrick Dilger is the Director of Integrated Communications & Marketing at Southern Connecticut State University, a position held since August 1997. In this role, Patrick manages all aspects of communications and marketing, including media relations, social media, website management, graphic design, and publications, as well as photography and videography. Patrick has taken a leadership role in planning significant campus events, such as three Presidential Inaugurations, 19 Undergraduate Commencements, and the Mary and Louis Fusco Distinguished Lecture Series, along with groundbreaking and ribbon-cutting ceremonies for new buildings, academic awards, and symposia. Prior to this role, Patrick worked as a Higher Education Reporter for the New Haven Register from 1991 to 1997, held a position as a General Assignment Reporter at Gannett Westchester Newspapers from 1987 to 1991, and began a career in journalism as a General Reporter and then Assistant Editor at Franklin County News from 1981 to 1985. Patrick holds a Master's degree in Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and History from the University of Auckland.
