Ryan Guedry, P.E. has a background in civil engineering and has held various engineering positions in both the private and public sectors. Ryan has worked on notable projects such as the MOX Fuel Fabrication Facility and the Lake Pontchartrain Hurricane Protection Project. Currently, Ryan is serving as a Senior Engineer at Southern Nuclear, where Ryan is responsible for the closeout and turnover of systems for Unit 4 to support the plant going hot functional in 2022.

Southern Nuclear operates a total of seven units for Alabama Power and Georgia Power at the Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant near Dothan, Ala.; the Edwin I. Hatch Nuclear Plant near Baxley, Ga., and the Alvin W. Vogtle Electric Generating Plant near Waynesboro, Ga. The company recently achieved commercial operation on Vogtle Unit 3 and is the current licensee of Vogtle Unit 4, which is under construction. Both of these units represent historic achievements for the nuclear industry as the first new nuclear units to reach commercial operation and be built in the United States in the last three decades.
