David Cantrell

David Cantrell has extensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity and IT systems security. David has served as the Director of Cybersecurity Operations at Southside Bank since March 2023. Prior to this role, they worked as an IT Systems Security Engineer at the same company from December 2017 to May 2023. Before joining Southside Bank, David worked as a Network Engineer at the bank from December 2015 to December 2017.

Before joining Southside Bank, David worked at Brookshire Grocery Company as a Retail Client and Server Support Supervisor from September 2004 to December 2015. Prior to that, they worked at the City of Enid as a Network Analyst/Programmer from January 1999 to September 2004.

David Cantrell earned an Associates Degree in Applied Science with a focus on Electronic Systems from Northern Oklahoma College between 1997 and 1999. Additionally, they obtained several certifications, including the CompTIA Security+ ce Certification in 2021 and the (ISC)² Candidate certification in 2023.
