Ernest S. Pinner

Ernest S. Pinner serves as Lead Independent Director of the South State Corporation Board of Directors. Mr. Pinner was the Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of CenterState Bank Corporation and was previously Chief Executive Officer and President of CenterState Bank. He has been actively involved in the banking business in Central Florida over the past fifty years. He was the founding President and CEO of CenterState Bank of Florida and was a director of CenterState Bank MidFlorida, N.A. Prior to joining CenterState in 1999, he had a lengthy career with First Union Bank and was the area President and Senior Vice President of First Union National Bank between 1986 and 1999.
