Dr. Diana “Diane” Lovell

Dr. Diana "Diane" Lovell has a rich background in academia and student services. Dr. Diana “Diane” currently serves as the President of Southwestern Oklahoma State University, where they champion intellectual excellence, responsible citizenship, and student success. Prior to this, they held the role of Vice-Chancellor of Student Services, Dean of Social Sciences, and Professor of History at Blinn College, where they played a key role in the growth and development of academic programs. Dr. Diana “Diane” also served as the Dean of the College of Arts and Humanities for Undergraduate and Graduate Programs at Houston Baptist University, where they promoted academic excellence and spearheaded student success programs. Additionally, Dr. Lovell has experience as a Speech and Debate Team Coach at WACO High School.

Dr. Diana "Diane" Lovell obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Education from Baylor University in 1989. Dr. Diana “Diane” then pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in History from the University of Houston, which they completed in 1992. Later, Dr. Lovell obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in History from the University of Houston, finishing their studies in 2003. Additionally, they hold a Bachelor's degree from Baylor University, although the field of study is unspecified.
