Guyton Cochran began their work experience in 1988 as a Senior Auditor at Price Waterhouse, where they worked until 1992. In 1992, they joined Caraustar as the Divisional Controller and held that position until 1995. In the same year, they joined Southwire Company as the Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, a role which they continue to hold.
Guyton Cochran earned an MBA in Finance from Georgia State University - J. Mack Robinson College of Business from 1992 to 1995. Prior to that, they attended The University of Georgia from 1985 to 1988. In 1984 to 1985, they also briefly studied Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
