Paula Simmons, PHR has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Paula began their career at UPS in 1989, where they worked as an HR Manager for 16 years. During this time, they gained valuable experience in managing HR services and policies. In 2005, they joined McIntosh Commercial Bank as a Senior Vice President/Human Resources, where they played a key role in establishing the infrastructure of the HR function and implementing various HR initiatives. Paula then moved on to CharterBank as an REO Asset Manager and later joined West Georgia Technical College as the Director of Human Resources. In 2013, Paula joined Southwire Company, starting as a Human Resources Director and quickly progressing to the position of Vice President Human Resources. In this role, they led HR in various business activities such as acquisitions, divestitures, and facility closures, contributing significantly to the growth and success of the company. Paula is a highly experienced HR professional with a proven track record of driving organizational success through strategic HR initiatives.
Paula Simmons, PHR completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Georgia State University in 1995. Paula further pursued their education and acquired a Master of Science in Administration (MSA) from Central Michigan University between 1998 and 2000.
