Saswat Patra

Saswat Patra is a distinguished academic currently serving as a Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Luxembourg since July 2023. With extensive experience in higher education, Saswat has held the position of Assistant Professor at S.P. Jain Institute of Management & Research since December 2017, where responsibilities also include Head of Central Examination and Head & Coordinator of Analytics. Prior experience includes a role as Assistant Professor of Finance at the Indian Institute of Management, Amritsar for a brief period in 2017. Saswat's research focuses on Quantitative Finance, Financial Derivatives, Financial Time Series Analysis, and Risk Management. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Quantitative Methods and Finance from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, an MBA in Finance and Operations from the Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, and a BTech in Computer Science and Engineering from the Institute of Technical Education and Research.
