Michael H.

Michael H. is a Research Scientist at the Space Science Institute since October 2018, focusing on solar-wind-magnetosphere-ionosphere coupling and the effects of solar wind transients and plasma waves on technology. Previously, Michael served as a Research Assistant Professor at Virginia Tech from February 2015 to October 2020, where research centered on energy transfer through Ultra Low Frequency plasma waves and their implications for the near-Earth space environment. Michael's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Geophysics and Space Physics from UCLA (2006-2012) and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Cornell University (2003-2006).
