Javier Pascual Rocamora has extensive work experience in the field of software engineering and data science. Since March 2021, they have been working as a Software Engineer at Spanflug Technologies. Prior to this, they held the role of Software Engineer at Spanflug from June 2018 to March 2021, where they developed REST APIs using Python, Flask, and PostgreSQL to automate the digitalization process for B2B communication.
In 2019, they worked as a Software Developer at BotCraft, where they contributed to the creation of an IoT prototype for GKN, focusing on developing code for data collection and processing from different gauges on the device.
From July 2017 to January 2018, Javier worked as a Data Scientist at Zyncd, where they designed and maintained ETL processes, developed web crawlers, parsers, and updated the company database using Python.
Before transitioning to the tech industry, Javier pursued a PhD at Loughborough University from 2014 to 2017. Javier also has experience in the hospitality industry, having worked as an FOH Team Member at wagamama from October 2012 to September 2014 and as a Team Member at Punch Taverns from September 2011 to October 2012. Javier began their career as a Camarero at Taperia la teula from February 2007 to September 2007.
Javier Pascual Rocamora has a strong educational background with degrees obtained from various institutions. Starting in 2007, they attended the Universidad Miguel Hernández de Elche and earned a degree in Ingeniería, specializing in Mecánica, ultimately graduating in 2011. Seeking further expertise in Mechanical Engineering, Javier then pursued a dissertation at the University of Southampton from 2010 to 2011. In 2013, they decided to expand their knowledge in the field by undertaking a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Portsmouth, which they completed in 2014. Lastly, Javier completed their highest level of education at Loughborough University, where they attained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Mathematical Sciences, having studied there from 2014 to 2017.

Spanflug is an online manufacturer offering instant pricing for custom CNC machined parts based on an CAD file. The time from the inquiry to the customer order is reduced from several days to one minute. This does not only enable our customers to make their purchasing as fast and efficient as possible, it also reduces the sales effort of ourmanufacturing partners to a minimum. The offer includes CNC turning and milling. The goal of the company, which was founded in January 2018, is to make the often time-consuming and resource-intensive bidding process for CNC turned and milled parts as quick and easy as possible for both customers and suppliers, and to advance the digitization of the manufacturing industry in the field of CNC turning and milling. Spanflug is a spin-off from the Institute for Machine Tools and Industrial Management (iwb) of the Technical University of Munich (TUM).
