Fergus Boydell

Fergus Boydell has worked in the software engineering field since 2005. Fergus began their career at ChangingWorlds as a Senior Developer, then moved to Amdocs as a Group Development Lead in 2009. In 2013, they joined BCAA as a Senior Software Developer and then moved to Incognito Software Systems in 2014, where they were a Development Team Lead and Scrum Master for a mixed development language team. Fergus was responsible for mentoring team members, architecting and implementing a highly scalable micro-services based system, and replacing a legacy system deployed to customers worldwide. In 2022, they joined Spare as a Lead Software Engineer.

Fergus Boydell attended The High School Rathgar from 1994 to 2000, followed by University College Dublin from 2000 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science. Fergus also attended Sandford National. In addition, they obtained a Stream Processing Design Patterns with Kafka Streams certification from LinkedIn in April 2021 and a Certified Java Programmer certification from Oracle (Sun) in June 2007.
