Gavin Acquroff

Gavin Acquroff has six years of professional experience. Gavin began their career as an Engineering Intern at MAC Engineering Inc. | MAC Automation Inc. in 2015. In 2016, they worked as a Peer Tutor at The University of British Columbia. In 2018, they were an Advisor at MEC™. From 2019 to 2021, they worked as a Firmware Engineer at Sierra Wireless, where they strengthened module security by implementing a cryptographically secure PRNG with entropy accumulation, and reduced module power consumption in low coverage scenarios by designing an app that displays the current network conditions. In 2021, they became a Full Stack Developer at TalentMarketplace. Currently, they are a Software Engineer at Spare.

Gavin Acquroff attended The University of British Columbia from 2013 to 2019, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science - BASc with Distinction in Electrical Engineering. Gavin then obtained a Profiency in Amateur Radio - Advanced Qualification from Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada in February 2019. In 2021, they attended the Web Development Bootcamp at Lighthouse Labs and obtained a degree in Computer Software Engineering. In December 2020, they obtained an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
