Ravi Shankar has a strong background in data engineering and consulting. Ravi started their career as a Product Specialist at vCustomer in 2009, followed by a role as an Associate Consultant at Capgemini India from 2010 to 2013. Ravi then joined Deloitte as a Consultant from 2013 to 2015. In 2015, they joined Infosys as a Consultant before being promoted to Senior Consultant in 2016, where they worked until 2018. Since 2018, Ravi has been working at Spark New Zealand, initially as a Senior Data Engineer and currently as a Chapter Lead Data Engineering.
Ravi Shankar attended Singhad College of Engineering from 2005 to 2009, where they obtained a B.E. degree in computers. In addition to their degree, they have also obtained several certifications throughout their career. These certifications include AZ-303: Azure Architect Technologies, obtained from Auldhouse in July 2021; DP 200 Implementing an Azure data solution from Microsoft in March 2020; IBM Certified Solution Developer - WebSphere IIS DataStage Enterprise Edition v7.5 from IBM in June 2011; SAS Certified Base Programmer for SAS 9 (CBP) from SAS in July 2010; and multiple Microsoft certifications: Azure Data Engineer Associate, obtained in November 2020.
