Tom Might is Executive Chairman of Cable ONE.
Might joined The Washington Post in 1978 as assistant to publisher Donald Graham, after a business internship in the summer of 1977. He was promoted to Vice President-Production in 1982 and served in that position until 1987, when he became Vice President-Production and Marketing. In 1991, Might was named Vice President-Advertising Sales.
In 1993, Might was promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer of Post-Newsweek Cable, The Washington Post Company's cable television division, assuming responsibility for all of the company's cable systems. He became President and Chief Executive Officer in 1994. In June 1997, Might changed the name of Post-Newsweek Cable to Cable ONE. In 2017, he was named Executive Chairman.
Might currently serves on the boards of the American Cable Association, CableLabs, and C-SPAN. Might was a Combat Engineer Officer in the United States Army from 1972 to 1976. He holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
