Diego Boero has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Diego began their career as a Stage intern at Gamba Automazioni s.r.l, where they developed touch screen user interfaces and worked on Siemens PLC programming.
Diego then became a Research Fellow in the Mechatronics Laboratory at Politecnico di Torino, where they worked on research projects in mechatronics.
Diego later worked as a Mechatronics Engineer as an External Consultant for the Regione Autonoma Valle d’Aosta – Assessorato Attività Produttive. In this role, they designed and implemented a domestic peak shaving system for Smart Grids and participated in the European Alpenergy Project as a scientific and implementation partner.
Diego then joined Politecnico di Torino again, this time as a DET Research Fellow and later as a PhD student in Mechatronics. In these roles, they focused on designing and simulating single-phase inverters and chemical storage systems for renewable energy sources. Diego also developed MPPT algorithms for renewable sources and worked on energy scavenging projects.
Most recently, Diego worked at SPEA as a System Engineer, where they conducted research and development on pick and place handlers for MEMS and sensors. Diego also held roles as a Project Development Manager and a Product Manager, responsible for managing products and projects related to silicon wafer prober and functional tester systems.
Overall, Diego Boero has gained comprehensive experience in product management, project development, system engineering, and research in the field of mechatronics and renewable energy.
Diego Boero completed their education from 2003 to 2009 at Politecnico di Torino, where they obtained a Laurea Magistrale degree in Ingegneria meccatronica, robotica e dell'automazione.
