Brett Kelley began their work experience in 2001 as a Project Engineer at J.F. Shea Co., Inc., where they worked until 2006. In 2006, they joined SPEC Services as a Project Manager.
Brett Kelley completed their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara, which they attended from 1997 to 2001. In addition to their formal education, they also obtained certifications as an Envision Sustainability Professional from the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure in September 2017 and as a Professional Engineer - Mechanical from the State of California. The specific months and years of obtaining the latter certifications are not provided.
