Carol Farrell possesses extensive experience in health promotion and education, currently serving as a Health Promotion and Improvement professional with the Health Service Executive since April 2018. In addition to this role, Carol is the Clinical Director for Health Promotion at Special Olympics Ireland, where responsibility includes managing the Healthy Athlete Programme, which provides health screenings and education to athletes. Carol has previously held positions as a Senior Executive for Education and Public Engagement at Science Foundation Ireland and as a Health and Education Coordinator and Health Promotion Project Officer with Special Olympics Ireland, where significant contributions were made to health programme development and volunteer training. Carol's educational background includes a Postgraduate Degree in Healthcare Management from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, a public health and health promotion degree from Atlantic Technological University, and project management credentials from the Institute of Project Management.
