Jamie Adams

Jamie Adams has a diverse background in finance and leadership roles. They started their career at Grant Thornton UK LLP, where they worked as an Audit and Assurance Executive before transitioning into transaction advisory services, recovery and reorganization, and lead advisory corporate finance. At Capita, Jamie served as a Senior Finance Manager, providing financial support and decision-making for IT infrastructure offerings and strategic migration projects. They then joined CGI as a Financial Controller, taking the lead on financial planning, analysis, and modeling for IT services delivered to a secure public sector client. After that, Jamie worked at Aritzia as a Director of Corporate FP&A, overseeing financial and corporate planning processes and delivering monthly corporate reporting. Their most recent role was at MEC, where they served as a Senior Director of Finance, responsible for finance functions, vendor contract negotiations, and implementing initiatives to drive profitability and reduce costs. Jamie is currently positioned as the VP of Finance at Specsavers.

Jamie Adams completed their education with the following degrees and qualifications: In 2015, they obtained a Prince2 certification in Project Management from Axelos. Prior to that, from 2008 to 2011, they earned an audit qualification from ICAEW. From 2005 to 2008, they studied at ICAEW and became a Chartered Accountant in the field of Accounting. Earlier, from 2002 to 2005, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Management Studies at the University of Nottingham. Their primary education was completed at Richard Hale School from 1995 to 2002.
