Susan Dorward has a diverse work experience spanning across multiple companies and roles. Susan is currently working as the Global Head of Data Engineering at Specsavers, starting in October 2022. Prior to that, Susan worked at Viking Europe, where they held multiple positions, including Head of Data Engineering from July 2018 to September 2022, Senior Data Developer from September 2017 to July 2018, and Data Developer from December 2016 to September 2017. Before Viking Europe, Susan worked at dunnhumby as a Senior Data Developer from January 2016 to December 2016, Data Developer from January 2015 to December 2015, and Associate Data Developer from October 2014 to December 2014. Susan began their career as a graduate trainee at dunnhumby in September 2012 and completed a two-year rotation scheme before ending in October 2014. Additionally, Susan has previous experience as a Summer Intern at Oxford Gene Technology in 2011 and as a Weekend Assistant at Hillier Garden Centre from August 2008 to September 2009.
Susan Dorward attended the University of Bath from 2009 to 2012, where they earned a BSc (hons) degree in Natural Sciences. Susan also obtained the Academy Accreditation - Databricks Lakehouse Fundamentals certification from Databricks in November 2022.
