Spectricity
Aoife Gowen is a distinguished academic with extensive experience in the field of biosystems and food engineering, currently serving as a Professor and Associate Professor at University College Dublin since February 2014. Aoife Gowen has contributed to the academic community as the Imaging Editor for NIRNews and previously held the position of Editor in Chief for the Journal of Spectral Imaging from August 2016 to October 2021. Prior experience includes lecturing in Environmental Health at Dublin Institute of Technology and a Marie Curie Research Fellow role at University College Dublin and Kobe University, Japan. Aoife Gowen began a career as a Clinical Imaging Scientist at Beaumont Hospital. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Food Science from Dublin Institute of Technology and an MSc in Financial Mathematics from Dublin City University, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in Theoretical Physics from Trinity College Dublin.

Spectricity develops low-cost, miniaturized, integrated spectral sensing solutions in the visible and near-infrared spectral range.
