Joan VanderLaan, CPA has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple companies. Joan began their career at Cummins Inc. in 2009 as a Business Process Analyst Intern. Joan later joined McGladrey in 2012 as an Audit Associate before becoming a Senior Associate. In 2013, they transitioned to ITW, where they held various roles, including Senior Internal Auditor and Audit Supervisor.
In 2019, Joan joined Parker Hannifin as the Division Controller for the Pneumatic Division Europe. Joan worked in this role until 2021 when they moved to SPECTRO Analytical Instruments GmbH. At SPECTRO, Joan first served as the Director of Finance & Control before being promoted to Divisional Vice President and Business Unit Controller in 2023.
Throughout their career, Joan has gained extensive experience in finance, auditing, and controlling, making their a valuable asset to any organization.
Joan VanderLaan, CPA holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance & Accountancy from the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Joan completed their degree in 2010, accumulating 154 credit hours. In 2011, they obtained certification as a Certified Public Accountant from the Illinois Board of Examiners.
