Michael Privik has a diverse and extensive work experience in the analytical instruments industry. Michael began their career in 1991 as an Application Engineer at Ametek GmbH, where they worked until 1992. Michael then joined SPECTRO Analytical Instruments GmbH, where they held various roles including Head of XRF Applicationcenter and Sales Manager for XRF & Arc/Spark in Western Europe. From 2003 to 2004, they worked as the Subsidiary Manager for the DACH & Benelux region, responsible for managing approximately 50 employees. In 2006, they became the Division VP of Sales & Service for EMEA, and in 2011, they were promoted to VP of Global Sales & Marketing. Recently, in 2022, they took on the role of DVP Business Unit Manager at SPECTRO Analytical Instruments GmbH. Additionally, from 2007 to 2011, they served as the Managing Director at Ametek GmbH.
Michael Privik attended Elly-Heuss-Knapp-Gymnasium in Duisburg, Germany, from 1974 to 1982, where they earned their Abitur. Michael later pursued their higher education at the University of Duisburg in Germany from 1985 to 1991, achieving a degree in Physics with a focus on the Mössbauer Effect.
