Eamonn Gormley has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several companies. Eamonn started their career at Analog Devices where they worked as an Applications Engineer for a period of time. At Analog Devices, they developed DSP software and video graphics software, as well as worked on low noise analog and high-speed digital hardware design.
After Analog Devices, Eamonn moved on to AT&T Wireless where they served as a DSP Software Manager. At AT&T Wireless, they led the development of DSP software for the OFDM PHY and MAC layers of the "Project Angel" broadband wireless access system. Eamonn also played a key role in the systems design of OFDM airlink protocols and algorithms.
Following their time at AT&T Wireless, Eamonn joined Netro Corporation as a Software Manager. Eamonn then transitioned to SR Telecom, where they served as the Director of Systems Engineering.
In 2007, Eamonn became the Chief Technology Officer at Eden Rock Communications. During their time at Eden Rock Communications, they led the architecture, design, and development of the Eden-NET multi-vendor, multi-technology Self-Organizing Network (SON) solution. Eamonn also invented and designed key SON framework components and led the design and development of various SON algorithms.
After leaving Eden Rock Communications, Eamonn joined Nokia as the Head of SON Architecture. In this role, they oversaw the architecture and development of SON solutions.
Currently, Eamonn is the Chief Technology Officer at Spectrum Effect. In their role, they lead the systems engineering and architecture teams for Spectrum-NET, an ML-based spectrum analytics solution. Eamonn is responsible for developing and maintaining the technology and product roadmap and collaborates with mobile operators and strategic technology partners to maximize the value of Spectrum-NET.
Eamonn Gormley attended the University of Limerick from 1986 to 1990, where they obtained a B. Eng degree in Electronic Engineering.
