Neil Stobie has over 25 years of work experience in the telecommunications industry. Neil most recently served as the Principal Systems Engineer at Spectrum Effect since March 2021. Prior to that, Neil worked at Nokia from July 2016 to March 2021, where they held the position of Senior SON Systems Engineer, focusing on 5G NR optimization modules. Before Nokia, they worked at Eden Rock Communications as a SON Systems Engineer from March 2014 to July 2016. Neil also served as the Operational Product Manager at Ascom Network Testing Inc from October 2006 to March 2014, where they oversaw the TEMS Visualization tool for network troubleshooting and optimization. Neil began their career at Ericsson in 1995 as a Senior RF Engineer and later worked as a Systems Engineer, managing field trials and guidelines for GSM systems.
Neil Stobie received their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The University of Edinburgh, where they studied from 1989 to 1993.
