Sam Rakestraw has a diverse work experience in the accounting and finance field. They started their career as a Payroll Clerk at Missouri Baptist University, where they processed expenses, audited transactions, and prepared journal entries. In 2008, they joined Spectrum Healthcare Resources as a Staff Accountant, responsible for monthly financial closing and analysis of awarded contracts. They then advanced to the role of Senior Accountant and later Accounting Manager, contributing to financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. Currently, Sam serves as the Director of Ops Accounting at Spectrum, leading a team and overseeing financial reporting, billing, account statement production, and budgeting. They also collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze financial trends, and provide mentorship to team members.
