J. David Wargo

J. David Wargo was elected to the board of directors of Charter on April 22, 2025. Mr. Wargo is the founder and President of Wargo & Company, Inc., a private company specializing in investing in the communications industry since 1993. Mr. Wargo is a co-founder and was a member of New Mountain Capital, LLC from 2000 to 2008. Prior to starting Wargo & Company, he was a managing director and senior analyst of The Putnam Companies from 1989 to 1992, senior vice president and a partner in Marble Arch Partners from 1985 to 1989 and senior analyst, assistant director of research and a partner in State Street Research and Management Company from 1978 to 1985. Mr. Wargo has served as a director of Liberty TripAdvisor Holdings, Inc. since August 2014 and Liberty Broadband since March 2015. He has also served as a director of Liberty Global plc since June 2013, having previously served as a director of Liberty Global, Inc. from June 2005 to June 2013 and as a director of Liberty Media International, Inc. from May 2004 to June 2005. He served as a director of Strategic Education, Inc. (formerly Strayer Education, Inc.) from March 2001 to April 2019. He served as a director of Discovery Communications, Inc. from September 2008 until April 2022, after having served as a director of Discovery Holding Company from May 2005 to September 2008.
