Mauricio Ramos

Mauricio Ramos was elected to the board of directors of Charter on May 18, 2016. Mr. Ramos has been the Chief Executive Officer of Millicom International Cellular S.A. (“Millicom”), a Luxembourg public liability company traded on the Stockholm and U.S. NASDAQ stock exchange since April 2015. Millicom is a leading telecommunications and media company dedicated to emerging markets in Latin America and Africa. Before joining Millicom, he was President of Liberty Global’s Latin American division, a position he held from 2006 until February 2015. During his career at Liberty Global, Mr. Ramos held several leadership roles, including positions as Chairman and CEO of VTR in Chile and President of Liberty Puerto Rico. Throughout this period he has successfully developed both mobile and broadband businesses in Latin America, delivering solid operational improvement and outstanding financial results. Mr. Ramos is currently Chairman of the Board of TEPAL, the Latin American Association of Cable Broadband Operators and he previously served as member of the board of directors of the GSMA. He is a citizen of the United States and Colombia and received a degree in Economics, a degree in Law, and a postgraduate degree in Financial Law from Universidad de los Andes in Bogota.
