W. Lance Conn was elected to the board of directors of Charter on November 30, 2009. Mr. Conn previously served on Charter’s board of directors since September 2004. From July 2004 to May 2009, Mr. Conn served as the President of Vulcan Capital, the investment arm of Vulcan, Inc. Prior to Vulcan, Mr. Conn was employed by America Online, Inc. from March 1996 to May 2003. From September 1994 to February 1996, Mr. Conn was an attorney with Shaw, Pittman, Potts & Trowbridge LLP in Washington, D.C. Mr. Conn was previously a director of Plains All American Pipeline, L.P. and Vulcan Energy Corporation, where he served as chairman. Mr. Conn also previously served as a director of the Seattle Seahawks, the Portland Trailblazers and Oxygen Media, and as an advisor to Makena Capital Management and Global Endowment Management. Mr. Conn holds a J.D. degree from the University of Virginia, a M.A. degree in history from the University of Mississippi and a B.A. degree in history from Princeton University.

It is the fifth largest telephone provider based upon residential subscriber line count.
