Joep van der Pijl has extensive work experience in various roles within the sales and marketing industry. Joep started their career at Roba Metals BV in 1988, where they held different commercial positions in aluminum and copper semis and scrap until 1993. Joep then joined Roba Metals B.V. in 1995 as a BU Manager for Stainless/Aluminum. In 1998, they moved to Norsk Hydro as a Sales Manager, staying there until 2006. From 2006 to 2021, Joep worked at Hydro Aluminium Rolled Products, initially as a Sales and Managing Director and then as a Marketing Coordinator. Currently, they are employed at Speira since 2021, first as a Sales Director and then as the Head of European Sales Offices.
Joep van der Pijl has a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, which they obtained from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences in the years 1980 to 1983. In 2000 to 2002, they attended the Open Universiteit. In 2011 to 2012, they pursued studies in Industrial Business Marketing & Innovation at TSM Business School. Additionally, Joep van der Pijl acquired Business Intelligence Skills from Celemi in the year 2016 and completed coursework in Content Marketing at STEM in 2015.
