Christian van Someren has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. In 2000, they began their career as a jr. belastingadviseur at Deloitte. Christian then moved on to work at Procter & Gamble, where they held multiple roles in Customer Business Development from 2007 to 2010.

In 2010, Christian founded Truus.nl, an online supermarket in the Netherlands, and served as the Founder & Managing Director until 2012. Christian also co-founded Catalpa SoW in 2010, where they held the position of Founder & Managing Director.

From 2013 to 2014, Christian worked as a Managing Partner at SparkOptimus, a digital top management consultancy specializing in online, mobile, and social media strategies.

In 2014, Christian founded SphereMall and assumed the role of Founder & CEO. SphereMall is a rapidly growing scale-up that offers personalized customer journey solutions to leading brands and retailers worldwide.

Christian has also been involved in various advisory roles. From 2014 to 2016, they served as an Advisor at Syndy, a platform facilitating the exchange of product content for brands and retailers. Since 2020, they have been a Member of the Supervisory Board at the Erasmus Marketing Institute (EMI).

Lastly, Christian has participated in the Giro di Kika, a six-day bicycle race for charitable purposes, in 2014.

Through their diverse experiences, Christian has demonstrated expertise in business development, entrepreneurship, consultancy, and leadership roles.

Christian van Someren completed their MSc (drs.) in Marketing Research & Analysis (Quantitative Marketing) from Erasmus University Rotterdam from 2000 to 2007. In 2006, they also briefly attended WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) to pursue an MSc (drs.) in Industrial Organization.
