Paul Copioli has a wide range of work experience, beginning in 1995 when they worked as an Aerospace Engineer at Lockheed Martin, where they were responsible for propulsion system design of NASA-contracted spacecraft. In 1997, they moved to FANUC Robotics as Director of Product Development, leading all hardware development of industrial and automotive paint robots. In 2010, they became President of VEX Robotics, in charge of all strategy and execution for the VEX Robotics division of Innovation First International. In 2018, they joined littleBits as President & COO, and in 2020 they became Chief Executive Officer at Sphero.

Paul Copioli received their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Aeronautical Engineering from the U.S. Air Force Academy between 1989 and 1993. Following this, they earned their Master of Science (MS) in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
