Jasper van Oosten

Jasper van Oosten has extensive work experience in the entertainment industry. Jasper started their career in 2003 as a Chief Editor for Filmfocus.nl, where they were responsible for writing and editing web content, including news items and film reviews. In 2007, they joined Chellomedia Direct Programming BV as a Web Editor. During their time there, they worked on web content editing until 2015. In 2015, they moved to Sony Pictures Entertainment where they initially worked as a Senior Web Editor for Film1.nl. In this role, they composed, wrote, and edited web content, managed the editorial staff, and edited video content for web and broadcast. In 2018, they transitioned to the role of Acquisitions Executive for Film1, responsible for acquiring films. In 2019, Jasper joined SPI International as the Head of Programming for Film1.

Jasper van Oosten completed their education at the University of Amsterdam from 1996 to 2002, earning a Master of Science (MS) degree in Film/Cinema/Video Studies. Prior to this, they attended HKU (Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht) from 1993 to 1996, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Music Technology. In addition to their formal education, Jasper has also obtained various certifications throughout their career. These include the "Training Online verkoopsucces" from De verwoording in May 2012, the "Training AVID" from Media Academie in October 2010, the "Praktijkcursus Direct Marketing" from IDMK Trainingen in May 2008, the "Priority Management met Tools" from Priority Management in March 2008, and the "Skills for New and Prospective Manager" from Frost & Sullivan in September 2007.
