William McCarthy

William McCarthy is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience in the FinTech and technology sectors. Currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Engineering at Spinwheel since June 2025, William McCarthy leads a dynamic engineering team specializing in AI technologies. Previously, as Vice President of Engineering - AI/ML and Data Engineering at Octane® from February 2022 to July 2025, William McCarthy directed AI and ML initiatives, creating impactful solutions through collaboration with business stakeholders. William McCarthy also held the position of Senior Director of Engineering at Octane®, where responsibility included managing multiple software development teams. Additional roles include Director of Technology and Engineering at Sensei, and leading various engineering teams at Goodway Group, focusing on DevOps and software deployment, as well as serving as Engineering Lead at MINDBODY, Inc. William McCarthy earned a degree from Penn State University, graduating in January 1994.
