Jeroen Cappaert is a seasoned professional in the aerospace and data industries, currently serving as the CTO & Co-Founder of Spire since April 2012. At Spire, Jeroen leads efforts to provide satellite-powered data solutions for various sectors, including global trade and maritime awareness. Prior experience includes serving as a Lead Payload & Avionics Engineer at Spire, conducting research on CubeSat avionics and fluid mechanics at NASA Ames Research Center, and completing a Master's thesis on uncertainty quantification for hypersonic flow simulations at the von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics. Jeroen holds multiple degrees, including an MSc in Space Studies from the International Space University and an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from KU Leuven, complemented by executive education in High Impact Leadership from INSEAD.
