Kip Schmidt

Kip Schmidt currently serves as the Director of Defense Program Manager at Spirit AeroSystems, a position held since September 2023. Prior to this role, Schmidt was a Defense Program Management Consultant at TEKsystems from January 2021 to August 2023 and spent over 15 years at Spirit AeroSystems in various leadership positions, including Integrated Product Team Leader and Director of Special Defense Programs, where significant contributions to technology development and contract negotiations were made. Earlier career experiences include serving as Strategic Planning Manager at Boeing and General Manager at Senior Aerospace Composites. Schmidt holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The University of Kansas and two master’s degrees in Business Law and Business Administration from Friends University.
