James Bellamy has diverse work experience in the music and audio industry. James worked as a Music Editor for The Music Department Ltd from August 2002 to April 2007. During this time, they collaborated with renowned composers such as Dario Marianelli and Thomas Newman on projects like Atonement and Finding Neverland. James also contributed to Les Misérables, for which they received the 2012 MPSE Award for Best Music Editing in a Musical Feature. Additionally, they worked as a Music Editor for various companies from 2002 to 2016, gaining exposure to both successful and unsuccessful film projects. In 2016, James joined Spitfire Audio, starting as an Operations Manager. James progressed to become the Head of Operations and Projects from May 2018 to February 2019 and then assumed the role of Head of Operations until February 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Web Engineering at Spitfire Audio, starting from February 2021.

James Bellamy completed their education from 1998 to 2002 at the University of Surrey. James obtained a Bachelor of Music (tonmeister) degree in Music & Sound Recording during this time.
