Michael Saleh has a strong background in laboratory management and quality control. Michael worked at Sporometrics from 2007-2014, where they held various roles including Technical Manager, Laboratory Manager, and Quality Manager. In these positions, they developed a Quality Management System compliant with ISO/IEC 17025, received accreditation from the American Industrial Hygiene Association, and implemented a novel statistical approach to laboratory quality control. Michael also managed all aspects of the laboratory, including technical projects, customer interactions, personnel training, and biosafety approvals. Additionally, they taught continuing education courses on industrial hygiene, sampling dynamics, and microbiology. In 2017, they joined Spornado Inc. as the Chief Technology Officer, where they are responsible for bringing molecular diagnostics to agriculture through the development of an early alert system for crop disease.

Michael Saleh completed their Honor's Bachelor of Science degree in Human Physiology, Plant Physiology, and Political Science from the University of Toronto in 2006. Michael then went on to pursue a Master's of Health Science degree in Public Health from the same institution, completing it in 2008.

Its easy to use wind powered air sampler and highly sensitive DNA analysis allows farmers to know when crop disease is in the air long before its seen in the field.
