Jose del Barrio

Jose del Barrio is the Founder and Managing Partner of Samaipata, a Pan-European early-stage fund focused on digital businesses with network effects, managing €150 million across various investment vehicles since April 2015. As a board member at multiple companies including Embat, Klarys, Legl, Retraced, Geomiq, and Matera, Jose has been instrumental in leading seed rounds and supporting their growth. Also an early-stage investor in Spotahome and a mentor at Endeavor, Jose has significant experience in the e-commerce sector, having served as a board member for Deporvillage until its acquisition by ISRG. Jose holds Bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Business Administration from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.
