Dan Taber is an experienced research and data science leader specializing in Trust and Safety, AI ethics, and public health policy. Currently serving as the Head of Research & Insights for Trust & Safety at Spotify since October 2021, Dan leads a global team focused on content moderation and algorithmic processes. Previously, Dan held the role of Staff Product Scientist and AI Ethics Lead at Indeed.com, where a global AI ethics program was developed under Dan's leadership. As the Founder and CEO of Science By Design, Dan combined data science with design for social change initiatives. A former Vice President of Research and Evaluation at Healthy Food America and an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, Dan has contributed significantly to public health research and policy. Dan's academic credentials include a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MPH from the University of Washington.
