Melissa Trachtenberg, LMHC, NCC has extensive work experience in the mental health field. Melissa currently works as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Spring Health since August 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Mental Health Counselor at Promise Pathways from 2020 to 2022 and at Jamron Counseling from 2019 to 2021.

Melissa also has experience in research and project management. Melissa worked as a Research Project Manager and Grants Manager at VNS Health from 2014 to 2020. In this role, they were responsible for project oversight, budgeting, hiring and training staff, survey development, and grant reporting. Melissa also worked as a Research Analyst at VNS Health from 2010 to 2013.

Additionally, Melissa served as an IRB/Project Consultant at Superior Medical Experts from 2017 to 2019. Melissa began their career as a Research Data Associate at New York University School of Medicine, Dept. of Psychiatry from 2007 to 2010. In this role, they assisted with research projects, conducted interviews, managed databases, and handled grant and IRB submissions.

Melissa Trachtenberg, LMHC, NCC holds a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling/Counselor from New York University, which they obtained between 2018 and 2020. Previously, they pursued their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology from Binghamton University from 2003 to 2007. Melissa also possesses an additional certification as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor from the New York State Education Department, which they obtained in April 2022. In addition, they have received certification in Protecting Human Research Participants from the National Institutes of Health in May 2020.
