Spring Meadow Nursery, Inc.
More than a wholesale propagation nursery, Spring Meadow is a worldwide leader in flowering shrub genetics and plant branding. Established in 1981 by Dale and Liz Deppe, Spring Meadow Nursery, Inc. has since become the market leader in flowering shrub starter plants. We produce potted liners from rooted cuttings and nothing else. Our First Choice Liners® are designed to grow and finish a quality plant. From mid-April to October, we ship actively growing plants to all 50 states and Canada. Spring Meadow travels the world in search of new plants for the Proven Winners plant brand and has built a reputation of introducing outstanding new plants, such as the bestsellers ‘Limelight’ hydrangea and Wine & Roses® weigela. New plant introductions are selected to meet the highest standards for growers, retailers and consumers using a combination of plant breeding expertise, and years of development and testing. Our state of the art plant propagation facilities include over 40 acres of greenhouses. High pressure fog systems, traveling booms, bottom heat floors and computerized controls create the optimum propagation environment. Our facilities include over 100 acres dedicated to nursery stock plants. Spring Meadow Nursery supports the Horticulture Research Institute. We are active members of The International Plant Propagators Society, ANLA (the American Nursery and Landscape Association), the Royal Horticulture Society of Great Britain, The Royal Horticulture Society of Boskoop, The Michigan Nursery and Landscape Association, the Friends of the National Arboretum and more.
