As a San Francisco native, Christina Mincin brings over 6 years of experience working in the education sector. Her journey in education began by volunteering in a 1st-grade classroom, and since then, it has expanded to roles in environmental, private, public, and parochial schools in the San Francisco Bay Area. Christina is fascinated by how children learn to read and believes every child deserves an equitable and a quality literacy education, viewing it as a basic right.
Christina holds a B.A in Italian from the University of California, Davis, an M.A in Education specializing in Teaching Reading from the University of San Francisco. Her favorite childhood book is "Toot and Puddle" by Holly Hobbie. This heartwarming book taught her early on about friendship and the importance of embracing and respecting differences without judgment.
